Abstract

This study was conducted in order to evaluate a prosthesis restoration after simultaneous implant insertion with maxillary sinus floor elevation using the lateral approach. The patient visited for the purpose of undergoing restoration of his left maxillary molar teeth. Following oral and radiographic examination, the patient decided on simultaneous implant insertion with maxillary sinus floor elevation using the lateral approach. To clear sufficient space, the left mandibular second molar was restored with a gold crown. Pulpotomy was performed for treatment of the left mandibular third molar. Bone graft material was used and the implant fixture was an Implantium implant with a SLA surface. After healing, a second surgery was performed using a punch technique, an abutment connected, and provisional restoration. After occlusal adjustment and observation, two-unit gold bridges were installed in the definitive prosthesis. The patient expressed satisfaction with the function. The outcome of this case highlights the successful result and satisfaction of the patient. Prosthesis restoration after simultaneous implant installation with maxillary sinus floor elevation is an effective treatment method for patients with Kennedy classification II.
